Updating our prior discussion of the California Air Resources Board Consumer Products Survey, ARB continues to forge ahead with the 2013 consumer products survey, providing additional guidance to industry.
On October 14, 2014, the Board published an updated FAQ and information on updates to the survey data upload tool, CPRT. The Board also updated the survey and CPRT instructions, providing a summary of changes.
Following these updates, on October 15, ARB held a webinar to address questions from the public regarding compliance. The Board will hold another webinar on December 15, 2014 to review the process for uploading survey data with the ARB survey tool, and on January 1, 2015, Responsible Parties will be able to start uploading data. This leaves only two months for the submission of all completed surveys to ARB.

At the webinar, ARB rehashed the basis for the survey and reiterated that Responsible Parties must submit data on all covered products, including those that do not contain VOC. ARB then explained the process for grouping products together for submission and walked through the data upload tool. Finally, ARB responded to numerous questions from webinar participants on data compilation and submission of survey results, most of which were specific to the party asking the question.
